This was the final project of my second year of university.
In 7 weeks, I created a fully playable level in UDK. Apart from the skybox, I modeled and textured all assets. Most of the textures are hand painted, while some of them have been created from photographs. The approximate gameplay time is between 4 and 10 minutes.
I decided to create a greenhouse in arctic conditions mainly for two reasons. Firstly, I wanted to challenge myself with both organic and structural models, and secondly I was hoping to create a contrasting environment that would look unique and be fun to explore. My biggest challenges were technical issues in UDK, especially lighting and Kismet. I'm fairly pleased with how the final level ended up, and I feel that I conveyed the theme and atmosphere I had in mind when I started.
